Those of you who know me are aware how much I love New York… One of my favourite stores in New York is Anthropologie. I came across some lovely photos of some of thier current summer range and thought I would share just to inspire you…

For a few years now I have been selling Patrick Lindsay’s books, his latest is called `Now is the time to be Happy.’ In it are just lots of short and thoughtful ways to think about your life and what really makes us happy. The recent few weeks have been particularly trying for me, with the renovation, some difficult people blah blah blah, we all have those times… that’s not my point. My point is that it’s books like Patricks that I like to pick up when I’ve had a hard day and it’s an instant reminder of everything I have to be grateful for. And I’m grateful for Patrick Lindsay for a start! Here are some of his words about Happiness…….
`It seems to me that happiness is a state of mind. It doesn’t depend on perfection in our lives. It’s a beautiful amalgam of feelings – which lifts our heart and our spirit and brings joy to those around us. It usually comes from seeking things that have substance and meaning. It also occurred to me that happiness doesn’t come from the big things in our lives. Usually, it comes from the little things.
So, when your seeking happiness, even small changes can have a transformative impact on us.
Happiness means something different to each one of us. It’s hard to define, but you know it when you feel it. It’s tantalising, it’s elusive, but I believe it’s never too late to find happiness. Some things certainly make it harder to be happy … until you recognise them and make allowance for them.’

We have stocked T2 teas in the store for a few years now, I first drank their teas close to 15 years ago when I was living and working in Melbourne. Next to the restaurant I was managing was the orignial T2 store in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. It was a beautiful shop with chinese newspapers wallpapered on the walls and shelves filled with all sorts of exotic teas that I’d never heard of. The shop is still there as far a I know but they have expanded into all sorts of shopping centres all over Australia.
Obviously, we will be serving T2 tea in the new espresso bar, I have just finished a `tea menu’ with descriptions of flavours so you can all try something new. The stores have come a long way, I recently found these photos of their latest store and they are so gorgeous and interesting, I thought I’d share…

Hi everyone… A quick post from my iPhone to share some great news. We have started the espresso bar! Here are a couple of pics, the two in the holes that used to be the aircon are my architect Lachie and shop fitter Sam, we also had a visit from 4 gorgeous energex blokes when I had no power for half a day! It’s all good fun!

One of my favourite artists, Alasdair Macintyre, is having an exhibition at Sullivan and Strumpf gallery in Sydney. His sculptures are sort of pop art animation for lack of a better description. I first saw his work in 2006 at the Melbourne Art Fair and I love it. So quirky, they just really sing to me. If you are in Sydney do yourself a favour and have a look.

Last year Sacha Drake produced a fabulous dress called the Maddison. It had lots of press and we were inundated with women trying to hunt one down. We had it in a few different colours and this year Sacha has produced it in gorgeous sapphire blue.
We only carry one of each size as a courtesy to my local gals, so if you want one come on by. It has no zips or buttons, just pull on, dress up or wear with flats…it’s super versatile! There is a lovely new print wrap dress in store as well.

Hi everyone, I know you love to be literally first in best dressed so just thought I would let you know that Metalicus Spring arrived today. There will be another drop in August but don’t delay there are some seriously cute pieces! We only carry 2 of each style so if you see something you love don’t delay, once it’s gone it’s gone….
